Diamond Dolls is a service and support group for the Lobo Varsity Baseball team. In addition to assisting with any fund raising activities and community service, the Diamond Dolls serve in a public relations role and act as hostesses at home varsity games.
SELECTION PROCESS--
Interested students attend a meeting and fill out an application in August which includes a description of why they wish to be a Diamond Doll, a schedule of their classes and any extracurricular activities, and a commitment to uphold guidelines and expectations. The number will be narrowed down to 25-30. Those girls will be contacted and have an appointment scheduled for an interview. The final selection will consist of 20.
SELECTION CRITERIA--
Selection will be based on application, appearance, interview, discipline file check, previous year faculty information sheets, personal qualifications, grade check, ability to attend all games and meetings, knowledge of baseball and a sincere interest in becoming a Diamond Doll.
The Diamond Dolls strive to maintain a reputation as being a classy organization. Our focus is to encourage people to attend varsity baseball games and to come out and enjoy a good game of baseball. We have a motto, "Arrive with Five" which means that each Diamond Doll invites and tries to get at least five new people to attend a game. We help motivate, encourage and support the players individually and as a team and we let the team know that they have consistent support from the student body. We encourage the other Cy-Fair ISD high schools to start a similar support group for their baseball teams.
