2012 - District 17-5A - Champions

Welcome to Langham Creek Lobo Basball

Faith, family, school and community involvement are the keys to success. Coach Sedeño feels that his role is to enhance life skills first and baseball skills second. When a young man has a bit of skill and a lot of desire, he too can become a Lobo baseball player.  The players must have the desire, work ethic, fortitude and do whatever it takes attitude, to win.  When all these attributes are combined, the Lobos will be unbeatable!

You will notice some significant changes to the 2012 Langham Creek Lobo baseball roster from previous ones, but one part of the program has remained steadfast: the LOBOS are focused on winning!

Thnk You for Great 2012 Season

Round Three:

The Lobos fell Friday night to end of another playoff run. The 2012 baseball season was too magnificent however Cy Ranch won 4-0 over the mighty Lobos. Brandon Montalvo would take the ball for the Lobos and go all 7 innings, leaving it all on the field after catching all 9 innings the night before. The offense for the Lobos fell short again only getting 5 hits on the night. Hayden Jones would have 2-2b Ben Taylor 1/3 and Brandon Montalvo 1/3, John Erck 1/2. The Lobos had a chance to tie it up in the 3rd with Taylor on first with 2 outs Hayden Jones would hit a ball to deep CF, but Taylor would be thrown out at the plate for the 3rd out with Montalvo left in the on deck circle. That is as close as the Lobos would get to put a run on the board. The Cy Ranch Mustangs just found a way to scratch out some runs. Brandon Montalvo had a wild pitch late in the game, which gave them another run. The Lobos defense was solid all night, but in the end it was Cy Ranch moving on to play in the next round of the 5a baseball playoffs.

The Lobos left it all on the field the last 2 nights, Not just one or 2 guys, but all of them pulling together for each other!! It just wasn't our time, even though the boys and the coaches gave everything they had.

May God Bless each and everyone of them as they move on to the next chapters of there lives. The Lobos had another great run with many lasting memories of the 2012 season, some good some bad, but none the less it was a great ride for all of us watching in the stands. I hope the class of 2013 will find a way to go further next year to keep the Lobo Nation in the 17-5a baseball hunt for another District title and beyond.

Pitching line for Montalvo 7 innings 6 hits, 5 walks, 6 K'S 3earned runs 1 unearned. Ryan Rand hit by pitch. Hope to see everyone Wednesday at the baseball banquet. WIN 300%

Langham Creek Baseball Team Ranked Fifth in state

Cy-Fair, Texas News
Posted on Feb. 2, 2012

The Langham Creek High School baseball team has been ranked fifth in the state in the 2012 Class 5A Pre-Season Poll released by the Texas High School Baseball Coaches Association (THSBCA).

The Lobos are ranked behind only Corpus Christi Carroll, Spring Branch Memorial, The Woodlands, and Southlake Carroll high schools. “It is an honor being selected in the pre-season poll by your peers,” says Lobos head baseball coach Armando Sedeño. “With the schedule we have and playing teams that are ranked in the state, we will find out quickly if they are right. We will focus on a daily process to get us ready for a tremendous District 17-5A battle.”

A BALL PLAYER'S PRAYER

God grant me wisdom, to tell a strike from a ball, to know where to throw and never to fall. Keep me always in the base line, running straight and true and I'll look for your sign, to stretch one into two. God give me vision, to see every pitch, so if a player needs help, then I will see which. Let me always hustle, so I'll be at my best and take pride in myself, in sports and the rest. God be my strength, when I throw the ball when I'm far from home plate, or against a wall. So I never miss a base, please guide my feet, bring me home safely, so my job is complete. When I help younger players, let me always give praise, so they'll see you in me, in all of my ways. God please guide our coach, to be fair and smart, to teach us to be good, let it come from his heart. Let me take a loss, just as well as a win, to do any less, is surely a sin. As long as I can play, let me make my parents proud, as proud as I am, when they yell MY name out loud. However my games end, let me always have fun and if Heaven has All Stars, I want to be one. When my games here are over and my seasons are done, let me play on your team, just like your son.

Amen
